Christine R. Gray

Christine R. Gray, age 72, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on September 26, 2024, at Dubuque Specialty Care, while surrounded by her loving friends and caregivers. Per Christine’s request, there will be no services.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Christine’s family.

Christine was born on May 27, 1952, in Toledo, OH.  She eventually made her way to Dubuque and spent her days simply embracing each one as it came to pass.  Christine diligently worked at not taking life too seriously whenever possible, but always found a way to cherish a little quiet time, or social time with friends, whichever seemed more appropriate for the moment at hand.  She was a bus driver throughout her working years, but really embraced retirement when it finally arrived. Christine was not known for mincing her words and you never had to wonder what she was thinking, but she was kind and gentle at her core and the blend worked perfectly for her and those around her.  A perfect day for Christine could easily involve a beautiful day outside to just sit and relax in the sun and if a friend was sitting next to her visiting, or she had her latest good book in hand, Christine was content to consider this a successful day.  She possessed a quick wit and seemed to have her delivery down exactly timed for when the exact moment presented itself.  Dry with a smile you might say.  We are going to miss Christine more than she knows and are grateful for the time we had together.  We do hope to recollect the best memories left behind now to help ease the pain of her absence.  Thank you, Christine, for being you and may the Lord hold you safe in His loving arms as your earthly journey is now complete.
