It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Meghann Horn on November 24, 2024, at the age of 45. Meghann was born on June 25,1979 in Orange, CA, to Larry and Marilyn (Loe) Horn and primarily resided in the Galena, IL area.
Meghann was an avid reader and loved animals and children. She was known locally for Meg’s Eggs, her popular free-range chicken eggs.
She is survived by her son, Sidney (Morgan) Tessendorf; her parents, Larry and Marilyn (Loe) Horn; her sister, Erika (James Phomsavanh) Horn Phomsavanh; her nieces Leah and Hannah Phomsavanh; her companion Matt Keiffer; her beloved dog, Tango; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Amber and Anna (Mangan) Loe, Evan and Inez (Claybaugh) Horn, and her uncles and aunts Evan (Caroline) Horn, Robert (Patty) Horn, Donald (Roberta) Horn, and Johnny Horn. Per Meghann’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
