Jennifer L. Morenus

Jennifer L. Morenus

Jennifer L. Morenus, age 73, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on December 25, 2024, at Harmony Dubuque.  To honor Jennifer’s life, a private family service will be held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Jennifer’s family.

Jennifer was born on October 16, 1951, in Oxford, NY, a daughter to Patricia Sullivan Freiberger and Richard Lynn Freiberger.  She strived to keep life uncomplicated whenever possible and always found great satisfaction savoring the simple moments which brought her joy.  Jennifer was gifted with a nurturing green thumb and was a proud member of the Dubuque Botanical Club.  Jennifer thoroughly enjoyed being in the outdoors when the weather would cooperate and her gardens at home were well kept, weeded and pruned.  Not an hour was spent tending to her flowers that Jennifer didn’t feel complete.  She also treasured the ability to travel and see many of the sites in the US.  Jennifer made the most of each experience and kept each individual memory locked securely in her mind’s eye to recall and enjoy at a moment’s notice.  She also knew how to utilize a little time inside when those hours came along and you could easily find her with a good book, or even working on her next needlepoint creation when the mood struck her.  Jennifer found life to be an adventure that could patiently be written one page at a time as each day presented itself.  We are going to miss Jennifer more than she could possibly know and understand, but we are forever grateful for the beautiful memories which she leaves behind for us to lean into until we all meet again.  Thank you, Jennifer, for reminding us that life is exactly what you make it and may peace be yours now as we await our heavenly reunion in time.

Being a longtime neighbor, I always looked forward to seeing Jen outside tending to her flowers and plants.
She always found time to talk and ask me how my day was going.
