Obituaries

Linda Marie Morgan, age 81, of Dubuque, IA, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.  To honor Linda’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Linda’s family.

Thomas H. “Thom” Mercker, age 65, of Galena, IL, unexpectedly completed his earthly journey on June 30, 2023, at home.  No public service has been immediately planned by his family, but they intend to have one in Galena to honor his life at an appropriate time in the coming months.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Thom’s family.

Betty Lou Brummer, age 80, of Dubuque, IA, formerly of Ida Grove, IA, completed her earthly journey on June 30, 2023, at Bethany Home in Dubuque while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Betty’s life, a private family service is being held.  Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Ida Grove, IA.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Betty’s family.

Barbara J. “Barbie” Ring-McDermott, age 71, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on June 24, 2023, at home while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Barb’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Barb’s family.

Denise Carole Sanchez completed her earthly journey at the age of 47 on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at home while surrounded by her loving family. To honor Denise’s life, a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. at Hope Church, 11893 John F. Kennedy Road in Dubuque, with Denise’s brother, Joel Ebert, officiating. Family and friends of Denise’s are welcome to light refreshments and fellowship following the service at the church. Terry R. Maas, age 75, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on June 21, 2023, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Terry’s life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, June 26, 2023, at the Church of the Nativity, 1225 Alta Vista in Dubuque, with Father Jim Miller officiating.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Terry’s family.

Janet F. “Jan” Ford, age 77, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on June 19, 2023, at home while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Jan’s life, a private family service is being held.  Burial will be in Central City, IA.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Jan’s family.

Mark M. Pabst, age 62, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on June 11, 2023, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Mark’s life, a private family service is being held.  Burial will be in the Dubuque Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Mark’s family.

Thomas Charles “Tom” Metz, 85, of Dubuque, IA passed away on June 15th, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family. To honor Tom’s life, a Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 4300 Asbury Road. Following the mass, family and friends are invited to join in food, music and memories at Tom’s Celebration of Life from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at his home, 2324 Matthew John Drive in Dubuque. The private burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at a later date. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Tom’s family.

Connie J. Reynolds, age 57, of East Dubuque, IL, completed her earthly journey on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at home while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Connie’s life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 170 Montgomery Avenue in East Dubuque, IL.  Family and friends are invited to join in fellowship from 9:30–10:45 at the church prior to the service.  Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Connie’s family.

Russel A. Deliberto, age 90, of Apple River, IL, completed his earthly journey on June 3, 2023, at the Galena Stauss Senior Care Community, Galena, IL, while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Russel’s life, his memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023, following the 10:00 a.m. worship service, at 11:15 a.m., at the Schapville Zion Presbyterian Church, 635 East Schapville Road, in Elizabeth, Il, with Pastor Dottie Morizzo officiating.  Burial will be in the Schapville Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery with a luncheon to follow where Russel’s family and friends can join in food and fellowship.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Russel’s family.

Victoria G. Kieler, 70, of Kieler, WI, was called to heaven on June 4, 2023, at home while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Victoria’s life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Kieler, WI.

Bernard Kent “Kent” Bainbridge, age 73, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, surrounded by family. The Tri-State Cremation Center is assisting the family. A private family memorial ceremony will be held at a later date. 

Lynn Beauchamp passed away at the age of 81 on February 7, 2023.  He was born on July 11, 1941, to Irvin and Dorothy Beauchamp of Winfield, IA.  As the only child, he passed his time by his interest in hunting in the woods and fields behind his childhood home. 

Mary K. Loney, age 63, of Dubuque, IA, went to be home with the Lord on June 1, 2023, at Sunnycrest Manor, while surrounded by her family and closest friends, after a life-long battle with Myoclonic Epilepsy with ragged red fibers (MERFF) disease.  To honor Mary’s life, her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 12:00 noon at the Tri-State Community Church, 12937 Derby Grange Road in Dubuque.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Mary’s family.

Ronald J. “Ron” Soppe, age 80, of Graf, IA, completed his earthly journey on May 31, 2023, at home while surrounded by his loving family. To honor Ron’s life, his Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 1:30-4:30 p.m., at the Reiff Event Center, 894 Peosta Street, Peosta, IA. Burial will be in the Lattnerville Cemetery in Graf, IA. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Ron’s family.

Ralph H. Pregler, Sr., age 72, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on May 29, 2023, at Harmony Dubuque while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Ralph’s life, a private family graveside service will be held at the Dubuque Memorial Gardens Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Ralph’s family.

Bruce E. Dean, age 69, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on May 24, 2023, at 8:50 p.m.  To honor Bruce’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Bruce’s family.

Michelle M. Hamilton, age 58, of Lancaster, WI, completed her earthly journey on May 19, 2023, at home while surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.  To honor Michelle’s life, her Celebration of Life will be held on June 16, 2023, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Schreiner Memorial Library, 113 West Elm Street, in Lancaster.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Michelle’s family.

Aubrey A. “Speed” Grahn, age 90, of East Dubuque, IL, completed his earthly journey on May 21, 2023, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Aubrey’s life, a private family graveside service will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, IL, where full military honors will be accorded.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Aubrey’s family.
