Ronald D. “Ron” Markee, age 82, of East Dubuque, IL, completed his earthly journey suddenly at home on December 23, 2024.  To honor Ron’s life, a private family Celebration of Life is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Ron’s family.

Eric M. Fishnick Sr., age 37, of Des Moines, IA, formerly of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on December 19, 2024, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.  To honor Eric’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the American Legion Hall, 1306 Delhi Street in Dubuque, IA.  Burial will be in the Dubuque Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Eric’s family.

Francine J. Stanton, age 55, of Preston, IA, completed her earthly journey on December 19, 2024, at Dubuque Specialty Care.  To honor Francine’s life, a private family service will be held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Francine’s family.

Mary Jo Sherman, 87, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, surrounded by love and care.  True to her wishes, no services will be held.

Mary L. Ambrosia, age 70, of Elizabeth, IL, was peacefully called home to her Lord and Savior on December 15, 2024, while at home surrounded by her loving family. To honor Mary’s life, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 411 West Catlin Street in Elizabeth, IL, with Pastor Mike Nesbit officiating. Family and friends of Mary are invited to join in fellowship from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. A private family burial will be at the Woodbine Cemetery at a later date. Joanne G. Mauer, age 84, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on December 13, 2024, at Dubuque Specialty Care.  To honor Joanne’s life, a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Mueller Memorial Chapel at Linwood Chapel, 2736 Windsor Avenue in Dubuque, with the Very Rev. Dennis J. Quint officiating.  Burial will be in the Linwood Cemetery.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Joanne’s family.

Linda K. Kohn, age 68, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on December 11, 2024, at home in the loving arms of her husband.  To honor Linda’s life, a private family service will be held at a later date.  Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Linda’s family.

Thomas G. “Tom” Hitzler, age 73, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey suddenly on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Tom’s life, a memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 2921 Central Avenue in Dubuque, with Rev. Steve Garner officiating.  Family and friends are invited to join in fellowship for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Tom’s family.

Paul E. Link, age 75, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey suddenly at home on December 2, 2024.  To honor Paul’s life, a private family service will be held at Mt. Lydia Zaya, age 91, of Galena, IL, completed her earthly journey on December 6, 2024, at the Galena Stauss Senior Care Community.  To honor Lydia’s life, a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Burial will be in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Galena, IL.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Lydia’s family.

Jayson R. Henkel, age 53, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey suddenly on December 4, 2024, at home.  To honor Jayson’s life, a private family service will be held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Jayson’s family.

Patrick K “Pat” LuGrain, age 65, of Dubuque, IA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on November 24th, 2024, after a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia. To honor Pat’s wishes, a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Tri-State Cremation Center is assisting Pat’s family throughout this difficult time. 

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Meghann Horn on November 24, 2024, at the age of 45.  Meghann was born on June 25,1979 in Orange, CA, to Larry and Marilyn (Loe) Horn and primarily resided in the Galena, IL area. Per Meghann’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.

Services will take place on Saturday November 30, 2024, at Hope Evangelical Free Church,  11893 John F. Kennedy Rd, Dubuque, Iowa 52001.  Visitation will be held from 10-11 am, with the service starting at 11:00.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 24th, 2024, at the Dubuque Shooting Society, 10376 Route 3, Dubuque, IA.

Catherine “Cathy” (Haggstrom) Bennett, age 89, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on November 14, 2024, at the Stonehill Care Center while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Cathy’s life, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, 3200 Asbury Road, with Pastor Nichole Robson officiating.  Burial will be in the Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque, IA. Rita A. Baker, age 89, of Asbury, IA, completed her earthly journey on Nov. 10, 2024, at Luther Manor Grand Meadows, while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Rita’s life, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 3200 Asbury Rd, with Rev. Matthew Agee Officiating.  Family and friends are invited to join in fellowship prior to the service from 9:00-11:00 a.m.  Burial will be in the Linwood Mausoleum.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Rita’s family.
