Donna F. Carroll

Donna F. Carroll, age 68, of East Dubuque, IL, completed her earthly journey on December 19, 2024.  To honor Donna’s life, a private family Celebration of Life is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Donna’s family.

Donna was born on June 27, 1956, in Hahira, GA.  She spent her life as a proud mama bear primarily and discovered great joy in fulfilling her role with love and determination throughout.  Donna was a loving wife and mother who was gifted with a kind soul, gentle spirit, but yet could express her distinct opinions when necessary.  If you were under her care, the outside world was going to have to navigate her trenches long before it could even hope to get near her loved ones.  Donna possessed a strong faith life and always focused on the quality of friendships much more than the quantity.  In her free-time, she enjoyed restoring furniture and bringing new life back into old pieces that others may have dismissed all to easily.  Donna was also a talented artist who never passed up the opportunity to sit down and work on her next painting when time allowed.  And if it was a beautiful day outside and a little green thumb therapy was in order, you could easily find her outside in the flower gardens tending to their care just as she did her family.  It’s heartbreaking to lose Donna so suddenly, and during the Christmas season on top of this tragic reality doesn’t help.  We can only thank God that He saw fit to take her home without any earthly struggles or challenges to fight prior and find some peace in the fact that she only had to spend a few months without her loving husband, Tom, before they were reunited once again.  Thank you, Donna, for all of the love you shared with those around you and may your Christmas in the presence of our Savior be the most wonderful Christmas you’ve ever seen or experienced.

Alexander Morris, Isabella Morris, Jack Morris, Evan Lemon, Connor Lemon, Riley Lemon, Jack Lemon, Gabriel Lemon, Annabelle Lemon, Scarlett Lemon, and Sophia Lemon;

her brother,

Joseph “Joe” Pollard;

along with numerous extended family, friends, and neighbors.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Carroll.

In lieu of flowers, a Donna F. Carroll memorial fund has been established.
