Phillip “Phil” Bammesberger

Phillip “Phil” Bammesberger, age 63, of East Dubuque, IL, completed his earthly journey on June 9, 2024, at home.  To honor Phil’s life, a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Phil’s family.

Phil was born on September 18, 1960, in Glenview, IL, a son to Charles and Helen (Dowdy) Bammesberger.  Phil was a tile installer by trade and spent many years sharing his time and talents on countless homes in the Galena Territories.  His work was meticulous and detailed on every project and he found great joy in his accomplishments over the years.  In his free-time, Phil was perfectly content to be surrounded by family and friends, preferably outdoors, enjoying a cold beer on the front porch.  He also made time to grab his fishing pole from time to time to see if he could get the biggest catch of the day, but a little time preparing a delicious meal in the kitchen was always time well spent also.  Phil was well known for his annual 4^th of July fireworks display for all of his friends and neighbors to enjoy.  Phil worked hard and appreciated the opportunity to have balance in his life while relaxing and entertaining.  He will be remembered for his big smile, contagious laugh, and the ability to make the most out of every moment that presented itself.  He will be truly loved, deeply missed, and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.  Thank you, Phil, for keeping life simple when required and always being ready to throw a little Bob Marley on when the mood was right.  May the Lord bless and keep you as we seek peace and healing in your absence and may the abundance of wonderful memories you leave behind provide the comfort we need until we see you again.

Phil was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bammesberger.

In lieu of flowers, a Phillip Bammesberger memorial fund has been established which will be distributed among his favorite charities.

Phil’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dubuque, along with our wonderful friends and neighbors, Brian (Becky) Spillane, for all of their compassionate care and support during these most difficult days.
