Steven E. “Steve” Robins

Steven E. “Steve” Robins, age 78, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on August 26, 2024, at the Cascade Nursing Home in Cascade, IA.  To honor Steve’s life, a private family service is being held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Steve’s family.

Steve was born on January 1, 1946, in Westfield, New York, a son to Earl and Arlene (Decamp) Robins. He was a good man who worked diligently at finding the best part in each day, not taking life too seriously whenever possible, and valued spending time with family and friends when the work for the day was done.  Steve owned and operated Robins Tile Co. where he allowed his creative talents to flow through his vision and ultimate application.  He leaves behind countless projects where his time and talents can be both seen and enjoyed by numerous families for years to come.  Steve had a sense of humor which was always on display.  His affinity for entertaining those around him was legendary and many memories were thankfully made along the way.  Steve also treasured the time he would spend hanging out with the guys at J’s Performance.  When he was in the mix, the day was sure to be bigger and brighter than prior to his presence in the moments.  It’s difficult to imagine that Steve has enjoyed his final bowl of ice cream, or his last try at good luck at the casino, but we accept that his earthly health battles were taking a toll that were much too great for Steve to continue fighting.  We are grateful for every memory Steve leaves behind today and hope to find peace and comfort in time as well.  Thank you, Steve, for sharing your joyful spirit everywhere you wandered in this life and may the best parts of the example you’ve set be found in our daily lives moving forward also.  We will miss you greatly and pray that your eternal peace is more than you ever hoped to find as we wait patiently to see your contagious smile once again.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
